Town hall to highlight education reform
October 19, 2009
By the Voice
Hill resident and State Board of Education president Lisa Raymond and Ward 6 D.C. Council member Tommy Wells will co-host a town-hall meeting on Nov. 10 to discuss DC VOICE’s Ready Schools Project 2010, which studies learning and teaching conditions in the city’s public schools.

The meeting will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Peabody Elementary School, 425 C St. SE.

According to DC VOICE, the meeting will present data the organization has collected, feature discussions about education reform, and record recommendations from community members.

The Capitol Hill Public School Parent Organization is also sponsoring the event.
